Reason for the post 2009 Tamil organizations being coy over the Tamil boycott is MONEY.

Grocery Store Owners, Importers, Distributors, and those Tamil Travel Agents influence the so called diaspora leaders by “Friendly Persuasion ala LTTE style to ensure that the Boycott never ever happens. The so called leaders oblige, in return of personal and organizational support for comfortable living for themselves and the family.

Despite organizations such as IFT Geneva, (Controlled by Anton Ponrajah and Elanko, CJPD (Former President Fr. Emmanuel) associated with IFT, TRO worldwide, (Controlled by the defacto owner Dr. M Sreetharan from Bethesda who also owns the Tamil Net and Tamils Against Genocide), have become defunct but still held on to the monies collected worldwide, they too never supported the BOYCOTT OF GOODS AND SERVICES, when they functioning.

A Tamil will suck his grand mother’s nuts if he can save a dollar. We may write but Tamils think about the buck only and not the freedom.

Years ago there was a newsitem written by a Lake House reporter in one of the Lakehouse newspaper that Sri Lankan Teas are mixed with a chemical to open the taste buds of the consumers.Unfortunately I did not keep a cutting of the newspaper. THIS IS WORTH INVESTIGATING AND THE TRUTH EXPOSED TO THE WORLD.

The importers of roasted country rice flour in Toronto etc. import the roasted country rice flour made by the Sinhalese/Marketing Department and the money goes to the Sinhalese and the Sinhala government to buy bombs to kill the Tamils.

Substitute to make cheaper roasted rice flour to make string hoppers etc. Buy non glutinous white rice flour made in Thailand. Normally it has three red elephants head printed on the plastic bags. There are other brands too. Make sure to read the plastic bag that the flour is non glutinous. Roast this Thai white rice flour for 3 or 4 minutes in a chatti. It will become free flowing. At the start itself put a handful of buckwheat flour and mix with the Thai rice flour. You should boil water and cool it for 10 minutes and use this water to mix the roasted rice flour. You will be getting an excellent dough to make the string hoppers. I have been doing this for 30 years and do not buy Sinhala flour. Try it. You will definitely like this IDIUPPAM.

Why do you want to buy Sinhalese produced stuff. Just be creative and substitute.” Will Tamils listen? ———————————————————

Groceries, tea and garments alone sustain the entire defense budget and more of the genocidal war against the Tamils, and the foreign exchange component.

“We should also not unwittingly assist the Sri Lankan Government to become economically strong to wage war against the Tamils. Recently there was a meeting, held in London, calling upon the Tamil people to boycott Sri Lankan Airlines travel. I do not see any follow-up action. Just imagine a situation of a considerable section of the Tamil Diaspora boycotting Sri Lankan Airlines!! N.Wijasingham – Global Peace Conference” — Tamil Nation

On the travel boycott, what needs to be done is request the Tamil travel agents to stop selling airline tickets on Sri Lankan Airlines, and also stop selling holiday packages to Sri Lanka to Tamils and non-Tamils. Tamil newspapers and media must stop accepting advertizing for anyone promoting airline tickets and holiday packages to Sri Lanka. Otherwise, the whole exercise is futile. Most of the reduced travel is not due to the promotion of the boycott but due to the white vans, kidnapping, abductions and payment of ransom. There are also instances of arbitrary arrest. Sri Lankan Airlines is virtually on its last legs due to their own battle with Emirates, which owns 45% of the airline even after the breakup on the 1st of April, 2008. We should stop calling for only the boycott of the Sri Lankan airlines if we do not have the moral courage, or the courage of our conviction to call for the boycott of all goods and services from Sri Lanka, especially groceries, tea and garments. Other items are:

Investment in the stock market. Investment in real estate. Using Sri Lankan banks to make inward remittances, instead of other avenues via Singapore and India. Utilizing all Sri Lankan rupees.

There is food, fuel, medicine, salaries, and other administrative expenses and maintainance which does not require foreign exchange for the GOSL, although one can argue fuel is all foreign exchange. (For the armed forces). So are spares. Nevertheless, the GOSL utilizes more printed money for the armed forces, and there are plenty of dollars left which the Tamils send to buy planes, ships, tanks, APC, Jeeps, equipment, Bombs, Mines, Missiles, Guns, Bullets, Grenades and other imports. Just give it some thought and remember:

Import of groceries means continuation of the war and NO Eelam. It means sacrifice on our part and the part of some merchants . Others lose lives, limbs and blood and endure pain and suffering. The GOSL budget is $25-26 billion dollars. Published: April 4, 2008

V. Rudrakumar the so called Prime Minister of TGTE:

Giving directions to Tamils and Driving Tamil policies.

He was the legal adviser of the LTTE, which is now defunct after May 2009, although the GOSL attempts to claim that the TGTE is a LTTE rump, and have increased the Sri Lanka military budget by 20% since the ending of the battle in Vanni in May 2009 using chemical weapons and phosphorus bombs.
