We, The TamilCanadian Elders for Human Rights thank you for your statement in the UnitedNations to the Third Committee on the promotion and protection of human rights.You have expressed Canadian Values and Foreign Policy on Human rights. It is true that as you stated thatimplementation human rights still remains a challenge in some parts of theworld.
We also thankyou for expressing your concern about the Human rights in Sri Lanka and foryour support for an Independent Investigation into credible allegations ofviolation of international humanitarian law and human rights committed by bothparties of the conflict.
