Nov 06, Colombo: The final edited report of Sri Lanka’s reconciliation commission probing the decades long war will be ready tomorrow, the national news agency reported.

Sources at the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) the have disclosed that the report will be handed over to President Mahinda Rajapaksa before November 15.

The eight-member Commission, appointed by the President in May 2010 to probe the events during the last seven years of war, commenced its sessions last year.

The LLRC has recorded 5,000 written submissions and 1,000 oral representations from a cross section of society on the conflict period between 2002 and 2009.

The President has decided to make the report of the LLRC to be available for public following its release.
