We, the undersigned petitioners, request the Council to cancel the “Wonder Sri Lanka” Travel and Trade Show scheduled to take place on October 16th and 17th, 2011 at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre to promote Sri Lankan Tourism and Trade in North America.
We respectfully submit that:
Canada should not take part in hosting the Government of Sri Lanka; a country which has recently come under increasing international pressure to investigate credible allegations of war crimes and Crimes against humanity.
The Council of Mississauga should echo the calls of the Canadian Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper and Foreign Minister Hon. John Baird in calling for an international investigation into the allegations arising from the UN Panel of Experts report.

The International community has a duty towards the long suffering Sri Lankan Tamil population to restore their rights of SELF DETERMINATION.
Global Peace Support Group - believes that this is the ONLY way for a permanent PEACE in Sri Lanka.
