Sri Lanka’s deputy permanent representative at the UN Maj. Gen. Shavendra Silva has said that legal advisor to the LTTE leader V. Rudrakumaran was behind the case filed against him in a New York court.
The Lankan diplomat has told ‘Divaina’ that he would furnish to the US court all documents found from an LTTE bunker at Vellamullivaikkal to show how Rudrakumaran and the TRO had supported terrorism in Sri Lanka.

Details of the countries where the LTTE has had its ships registered will also be produced, he has said.
He has also said that this NGO had sent a letter to the United Nations, accusing Sri Lanka of war crimes.
Maj. Gen. Silva has gone onto say that he had details of the 200 million dollars given by the TRO to the LTTE to buy weapons and the powerful communication equipment given the outfit by US companies.
He has said that the court notice had been handed over to his official residence while he was away, and that he had informed the president and the defence secretary about the matter.
