NEW POLITICAL UNITY

concluded for largest municipal councils of of Sri Lanka. New social democratic formation which united Tamil democratic struggle with the social campaigns,successfully nominated candidates for nine places including Colombo and Dehivela Mt Lavinia. Mr. Mano Ganesan is the mayoralty candidate for Colombo while Dr Vickramabahu Karunarathne leads the list in Dehivela mt Lavinia. In this social democratic alliance Democratic Peoples Front and New Sama Samaja Party together mobilized the support of many radical groups. The elections take place on October 8th.
