"SELF DETERMINATION IS KEY TO THE WORLD PEACE"

Five media organizations today held a protest against the attack on the News Editor of the Uthayan newspaper, G.Kuhanathan.
The protest in Jaffna town was by the Sri Lanka Working Journalsits’ Association, Free Media Movement, Sri Lanka Muslim Media Forum, Tamil Media Alliance and the Federation of Media Employees Trade Union.
Police claims to have arrested the person responsible for the attack.
But, the Editor of the Uthayan newspaper T.Premananth said that though a person said to be the person responsible for the attack on the news editor was arrested they are not satisfied with the arrest.
“The person arrested is a notorious criminal and it seems they are trying to put the blame on him," he said.
