During TI2011, Prof Annamalai spoke made some suggestions to the
organization. The first among them is:-
Tamil language teaching tools and materials may be placed in one place
on the web for teachers in any corner of the world to draw from and
use. The modular approach is the way to go for teaching Tamil since
the Tamil curriculum, learner background (age, nationality, purpose
etc) differ. A teacher can construct her own course by choosing
appropriate modules and arranging them appropriately.
The Local organisers have agreed to do a workshop with the attendees.
About 300 delegates from overseas and 300 from Singapore Teaching community.
Prof Annamalai will prepare an information sheet to be sent to
conference participants and INFITT members to bring / send information
available with them about Tamil teaching /leaning software and digital
AV materials, which will form the basis for the design of the database.
May I know if any of the members are keen to attend this event in Singapore
Pls send email to me to discuss offline.
I would like to have INFITT members participation list to form the
groups based on your interest.
