    The Professional Trainings are open to PHAP members with several years of professional experience relevant in particular to humanitarian law and civilian protection. Non-members are also welcome to apply directly to the Professional Trainings , and their applications will be simultaneously considered for PHAP membership, in one streamlined process (see www.phapinternational.org for membership details).

    Participation in the Thematic Workshops requires first completion of the standard Core Training. Individuals who have not yet completed the Core Training may apply for both a Core Training and a Thematic Workshop at the same time, using the Core Training application form .

    TRAINING FEES

    As an independent non-profit association, PHAP operates its professional development activities on a cost-recovery basis. The associated participation fees are as follows:

    Three-day Core Professional Trainings on Humanitarian Law and Policy: 900 euros (not including Belgian VAT).

    Two-day Thematic Workshop on Counterterrorism under IHL and IHRL: 600 euros (not including Belgian VAT).

    Fees include tuition, training materials, and most meals. Accommodations and transportation are not included in the training fees.

    PHAP offers partial tuition assistance to limited number of candidates from local or national governments or organizations in developing countries who have been accepted to attend the Advanced Professional Trainings.
