Thanks Brian. I too noted that C4 had missed some very important information that should have been included in the broadcast. They missed the important point that 146,000 people are unaccounted for according to Govt statistics submitted  by Rev Rayappa Joseph (Bishop of Mannar) when he gave evidence before LLRC. This info is given below.

According to records of the SL Government Agent offices of Mullaiththeevu and Ki’linochchi districts, the population of Vanni was 429,059 in October 2008. The total number of people who got into SL government control after the war was 282,380, according to UN update as of 10 July 2009. “Due clarification should be made regarding what happened to 146,679 people, which is the discrepancy between the number of people who came to government controlled areas between October 2008 – May 2009 and the population reported to be in Vanni in early October 2008,” said the Catholic Bishop of Mannaar, Rt. Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph in his submission to the LLRC Saturday. The Bishop has also raised the issues of militarization, colonisation, land grab, Sihalicization, Buddhicisation and civil as well as human rights abuses that take place in the Tamil land following the war.

There are other problems with the Ch 4 presentation, ALL of which have been addressed in the dvd I recorded Sri Lanka. Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, Violation of International Law”

Just to mention a few

1. The actual bombing by KFir jets is not shown. I have made extensive recordings of these in the dvd I have referred to

2. The critical Gotabaya interview with a TV channel in the UK stating clearly and unequivocally that the bombing of hospitals is acceptable, is not shown. This is critical evidence of war crimes.

3. 3 the important interview with Geoffrey Robertson  QC as to what can be done   to take these people to Court is not shown.

4. The extensive burning of bodies, an attempt to destroy evidence is not dealt with. I have evidence (presented in my dvd) of hundreds of people bombed in a church by the Sri lankan air force. Its all very well documented.

5. The geopolitical games being played by China, India and the US is barely mentioned

6. The bombing of Christian Churches, Hindu Kovils, schools, and markets – clear evidence of genocide is not shown.

All I can do is to send UK Ch 4 a copy of my dvd (which I have done). I have even offered to get to London from Australia with the extensive evidence I have, and give them the necessary comments if they want me to. I have not asked for payment or anything, not even my passage to London.
