    Tamils in Sri Lanka have more rights than Tamils in India.Can a Tamil speaking person get a Government job in Tamilnadu if he does not speak Hindi?Ofcourse not!But a Tamil in Sri lanka can get a job even if he cannot express himself in Singhalese which is the language of the majiority.In Colombo they have all the prosperous businesses and they are judges,police officers as well as higer government officers and bankers.So how can they say Govt is treating them like aboragines?In India they are treated like monkeys but not in SL.

    Anandasagaree and his party nurtured LTTE together with India and when Tamil Tigers went against them he was with the Government for protection.He critisized Singhalese but forgot at the end it was Singhalese bodyguards who protected his leader Amirthalingam and even moments before he got killed body guards wanted body checks of Tamil reps who came to see him and it was Amirthalingam who asked Singhalese not to check them as they were his Tamil Tiger friends and asked guards to leave.Tigers killed him and Guards protected his wife and few months ago she thanked guards for protecting her but before she wanted to make shoes from Singhalese people’s skins.Yesterday A. Sagaree mentioned about M.Singh being PM of India but forgot to mention that India’s national language is Hindi and not Punjab and M.Singh accepeted that fact to be a politician while A.Sagaree and his bunch of ethnic cleansers(who supported chasing away muslims from North) never want to accept that Singhalese should be the national language of SL

    New Delhi, June 13 (IANS)

    Sri Lanka is treating people in its Tamil-majority northeast as ‘aborigines’, a Tamil delegation told a team of Indian officials in Colombo.

    ‘It is very unfortunate that the (Sri Lankan) government does not allow people and officials of the north and east to manage their affairs as done in all other seven provinces,’ they said in a memorandum given to National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao.

    ‘The government is treating these people like aborigines and goes on enforcing its own agenda without any consideration for their views,’ said the delegation of Tamil leaders V. Anandasangaree, T. Sritharan and D. Sitharthan.

    While Anandasangaree heads the Tamil United Liberation Front, one of the oldest political parties in Sri Lanka, the other two are leaders of former Tamil militant groups that are now political parties.

    The three met the Indian delegation in Colombo Saturday. Menon and Rao also held discussions with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa as well as other leaders.

    They told Indians that ‘without allowing things to go out of control, the (Indian) delegates should explore the possibilities of persuading the Sri Lankan government to agree to the demands of the minorities’.

    This, they said, includes resolving the ethnic problem, de-militarizing the northeast, freeing Tamils detained without trial over minor offences, and not constructing houses for the army in the north and east.

    ‘The government should not penalize the owners of properties for selling or giving their lands to the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) under threat,’ their memorandum said.
