Ray of Hope

" works to connect families in Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka affected by the recent war with families or individuals worldwide through an adoption format. As civilians are released from camps and hospitals, a mechanism is needed for them to restart their livelihoods. The final phase of the war destroyed livelihoods of tens of thousands. Thus, families are in dire need of basic essentials like clothes, food, and financial support to rebuild their homes, and start a trade or small business to self-sustain."

What We Do

Find sponsors (build partnership with individuals, Orgs, Media outlets, Religious groups and organizations, NGOs etc.).
Connecting Families – Beneficiaries & Sponsors (a 1 to 1 relationship).
A continuous communication with Beneficiaries & Sponsors it is Vital to its survival.

Our Advantages

No Administration charges will be deducted. 
100% of your contributions will go straight to the Beneficiary. 
You will have the ability at all the time to speak to the affected family members. 
Your communication will become your Counselling tool to the affected family members.

Verification

Any type of complaint will be verified by our Field Staff in "Thayakam". 
You will be able to check through your own sources (Friends, relatives, other NGOs/Govt depts.).


Data Collection

Hospitals in the Mannar, Vanni, Kilinochchi, Mullaitheevu, Manal aru, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Amparai and Jaffna all have local social welfare associations called “Nalanpuri Sangam” 
Church based orphanages/senior care centers operated by nuns. 
The above organizations & groups are connected to a Central intake System where survivor’s details such as basic needs, contact information etc.. are stored. 
The data of each families are centralized here where organizations that are coordinating this project from different parts of the world can draw from for adoption thus preventing duplication. 
Profile of the family in need is provided in full detail including their direct contact to the adopting family abroad. 
Adopting family at this point agrees to contact them directly to find out their needs and assist by sending monetary funds directly to the family.
